[Trailers] Movie Trailer of the Day: The Amazing Spider-Man

I know, it's another superhero movie. Hollywood and comic books are reproducing the things like a couple of lust-struck bunnies.

Honestly, doubt I'll be forking out $10 or $50 or however much it is for movies by the time this comes out next July. But I'll at least give it a look on DVD, for sure. Superhero movies might be overdone and predictable by now, but hey, they're always good, solid movie entertainment.

And besides, that scene at the 1:40 mark in the trailer is pretty sweet. Manhattan, from Spidey's view.

Also, I will say this—Andrew Garfield, much better as Spider-Man than Tobey Maguire. Nothing against Maguire, but mannn ... the dude just sounds whiny. And Spidey is NOT WHINY.

Look, I know these things, k? Grew up watching the cartoon series. Lived for that every Saturday. For one thing, it was one of the only programs I got on our five television channels.

For another, Spidey is AWESOME.

First episode I remember watching was when some scientist had turned himself into a lizard or alligator or something. Another one I remember is him battling Venom. Venom scared me. Spidey kicked his ass. Spidey rules.

Anyway, the whole point of this post: Spider-Man. Coming (again) next year. He's amazing this time. According to the title, anyway. And the trailer is great.

And just for kicks and giggles, check out the original Spider-Man trailer from 2002 below. I will say this: The first Spider-Man set the bar for all superhero movies that followed. Awesome movie.

Just ... daggum whiny Tobey Maguire. Darn good actor. You won't have me criticizing that. Loved him—friggin' loved him—in Brothers and Wonder Boys.

Just whiny. And SPIDEY DON'T WHINE!

And for the heck of it, the Brothers and Wonder Boys trailers:
